The Occidental Lodge is a 28 room 1970’s motor lodge nestled in the redwood mountain vista of Occidental on the famous Bohemian Highway corridor . We are centrally located within minutes of award winning wineries, the Russian River valley, the infamous California Highway 1 and the Sonoma Coast. Walk to restaurants and boutiques with the redwood forest as your backdrop. Occidental is the perfect resting point between the mountains, the forest, the sea and all of what the North Bay has to offer.
The town of Occidental was born during the logging boom of the late 1800’s and was considered a railroad saloon town since the Pacific Northwest Railroad was granted permission to come through the mountain valley. The next big migration occurred in the 60’s and 70’s when the flower children from San Francisco migrated to it’s hills and forests to form their infamous communes. Our past is rich and the future is bright, stay connected and we hope to have the good fortune to host you soon.
